• Post-Cascades

  Mid-August (didn't write down actual dates!):
  *While traveling through Cascades, he manages to take down a deer by himself. Then meets Ripface, who alerts him that he is very close to the territory of a pack called Horde. The two talk for a while, becoming familiar with each other, before Ripface's ward, Va, made an appearance. Ripface was soon called away by other duties, leaving the two teens to chat for a moment before Va also made her exit. He decided then and there that he would not mind staying in Cascades for more than a couple of days...
  
  *He took up residence in an empty den that Ripface had shown him, hoping that his newfound friends would return eventually. And to his surprise, it was Va that did. The two sat and talked for a long time, getting to know each other, and this served only to concrete the male's decision about staying here longer, though his heart and instincts were pulling him in two separate directions. They hunt, and work together marvelously at bringing down a deer, before Va has to return to Horde territory.
  
  *Va returns to visit him once again, and this time the two set off on an adventure just for fun. While chasing a flock of geese, the two stumble across a strange tree-goose (hunting decoy) and investigate. Before they can figure out what exactly it is, the two are set upon by a hunter and his three hounds. Lysandar manages to kill the lead hound with only a few wounds to his neck, and then leaps immediately into battle with the second. She manages to lock her jaws around his rear right leg, fracturing the bone as he ripped it from her grip, but kills her also. Ripface shows up to help, infuriated at the young pair, and lets the third hound escape. He cracks, lashing out at Va and severely wounding her on the neck, but before Lys could intervene, released her. Lys pushes Ripface away, standing between them to stop another attack, but Ripface comes to and apparently has no memory of the incident. Exhausted and wounded, the three decide it's best to stay here for the night and return to Horde in the morning.
  
  *The trio returns to Horde territory, Va and Lys having told Ripface an altered version of the truth to quell his wrath, and the young male is given little notice, as the pack seems to be busy with a change of leadership. Relieved, Va treats their wounds with herbs, and the two get some alone time to chat. Lys makes up his mind and decides to stay with Horde for as long as Va will have him, and they fall asleep together near the river.
  
  *Not entirely trusting Horde not to take advantage of his weaknesses from the fight, Lys vacates Horde territory and slinks off to heal in peace. He does not return for several weeks, and when he does, is unable to lure Va away to speak, so he slinks off again to await a new opportunity.
  
  10/2/15: Stumbles across a fawn and manages to kill it easily. Decides to haul his catch back to Horde's main den and offer it to the others. Thankfully, Va is there, and seems unperturbed by his disappearance and reappearance. Ripface, however, is not so happy to see him and the two exchange more than a few harsh words. The scarred brute gives Lys a rock in exchange for his life and restricts him to Horde territory until his "debt" is repaid. He does not resist, realizing he was just given permission to stay here, but his hopes are quickly extinguished by Ripface's orders that he and Va must stay away from each other, or else. Va stalks off, and Ripface orders Lysandar to follow him to the river. The two have what could be called a heart-to-heart, and somehow or another, Lysandar agrees to become Ripface's slave, if that meant he could stay with Horde, and with Va. Things settled between them for now, Ripface orders his new slave to vacate the immediate vicinity for a while to think, giving him one last chance to go back on his word and leave should he choose to.
  
  10/3/15:While banished from Horde's inner territories, Lysandar returns to the den he was staying at only to find that it is already occupied. He meets Rekah, but only exchanges a few words before another appears on the scene. The chocolate female Eete challenges Lysandar for the territory, apparently intending to settle here permanently. The two exchange words, but no fight is had, as Lysandar assures her he is only here temporarily. The female then sets off with a promise to return, and he is left alone with Rekah. The young female tells him she and her brother, Rykar (who is currently off hunting) are from the north, in the mountains near where Lys was born. They chat for a while and then go their separate ways with no incident.

  Lysandar is the progeny of a female MVW and a male Malamute. He was born far north of Cascades, in an abandoned hay barn on the far edges of a cattle ranch. There were four in the litter, of which Lysandar was the eldest. Unfortunately for them, however, the barn was due to be demolished and rebuilt only days after his mother had given birth. Knowing that the pups were far too young to travel on their own, and with a heavy heart, their mother did the only thing she could and grabbed the two eldest pups - Lysandar, and a female pup - and fled with them first. Unfortunately, even after finding a new place to den, the female pup passed away, leaving only Lysandar and his mother. They stayed in that den until the pup was old and strong enough to travel, and then set off.
  
  His entire life, the two traveled, never stopping for more than a couple of days to weather the fiercest of storms before moving on. Never knowing anything different, he assumed that their way of life was normal, and that the wolves who gathered in packs were the odd ones out. His mother taught him how to hunt and how to fight, but also instilled into him the importance of knowing when /not/ to fight. It was from her that he learned all his core values, and turned into the wolf he is today. He has no knowledge of his mixed-breed parentage, assuming he is pure wolf as his mother was.
  
  When he was nearly a year old, Lysandar's mother was killed by an aggressive pack as the duo tried to cross through their territory during their travels. Too frozen in place to do anything but watch from the safety of his hiding spot, she was murdered before his eyes, and he vowed to never let another he loved fall victim ever again. As a result, when defending someone, he often loses himself in the rage of battle, not resting until his enemy is dead, or he can no longer fight. When it is just himself in danger, however, he is far more likely to make a strategic exit, or settle things with words.
  
  He traveled by himself since his mother's death, same routine. Don't stop. Keep moving. It's safer to not stay in one place. But then he stumbled across Cascades... and the rest of his story begins...
